the rules and procedures contained within this handbook. This
publication provides general guidance and direction and is not intended
to cover every conceivable situation. The information about University
policies outlines the rights, responsibilities, and privileges enjoyed
by the students, faculty, and staff that make up the University
community. The purpose of MSUM’s policies is to promote and maintain the
University learning environment, inform University members of their
responsibilities, and aid in preventing violations of the rights of
