If you’re interested in Speech Language Hearing Sciences (SLHS), there’s no better place to learn and grow than at MSUM. Our pre-professional bachelor’s degree prepares you for graduate-level study in speech-language pathology—which is also offered on campus—or doctorate-level study in audiology. Service learning opportunities on campus and in the community are an important focus, especially through the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association in conjunction with SERTOMA (SERvice TO MAnkind), a local organization that promotes better speech and hearing in the community.
The Speech Language Hearing Clinic is unique to the area and provides a range of services for children and adults with communication difficulties.
Faculty-student research collaboration in the areas of child language, articulation/phonology, augmentative and alternative communication, fluency, voice and audiology is greatly emphasized.
