SLHS Scholarships

MSUM Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences undergraduate and graduate students have eligibility for scholarships. Students are encouraged to explore the options and apply by the deadlines. The scholarships are generally awarded for the following academic year. Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application October 1-February 1.

Each spring the SLHS scholarship committee informs students of the application process and deadline for scholarships awarded within the department. The number of scholarship awards varies based on availability of funds.


  1. Recipients must be enrolled at MSUM during the disbursement of the awards.
  2. Applicants should demonstrate strong academic performance.

Full time student junior or above, including graduate students, who are majoring in the SLHS program.  Must show financial aid (defined by the student filling out the FAFSA)

Full time undergraduate students enrolled in the Speech/Language/Hearing Sciences program.  Must be an active member in the undergraduate Collegiate Sertoma/National Student Speech, Language, Hearing Association.

Awarded to graduate students majoring in the SLHS program

Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in SLHS

Awarded to student majoring in SLHS majors

Awarded to undergraduate  students majoring in SLHS majors

Awarded to seniors who show outstanding service to NSSLHA/Collegiate Sertoma Club as well as outstanding academic achievement.

Students admitted into the Undergraduate program for Speech Language Hearing Sciences who are in good academic standing.
