Are you interested in applying an in-depth knowledge of psychology and education to help kids, families and schools? The MSUM School Psychology program is a great place to start your career in School Psychology.
Our program enjoys a reputation for equipping graduates with knowledge and skills in academic, mental health, and systems consultation, assessment, and intervention. You will apply what you are learning to field-based experiences in the schools starting your very first semester. We emphasize sensitivity to diversity and work with schools serving students from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
In our NASP-approved program you will earn both a Master’s (M.S.) degree and a Specialist (PsyS) degree in School Psychology in just two years on campus and a final year of internship (typically paid) in the schools. The Specialist degree is the standard for certification in most states. We would love to answer your questions about a career in school psychology or about our program, and invite you to schedule an informational interview and/or campus visit—we know it is a big decision. We can also arrange for you to talk to one of our current graduate students about their MSUM experience.
