MS in Curriculum & Instruction
The online MS in Curriculum and Instruction at Minnesota State University Moorhead provides a theoretical base and opportunity for practical application within the areas of educational foundations, curriculum theory, instructional best practices and educational research. The core required courses provide not only a theoretical base, but an opportunity to conduct action research in the classroom with the purpose of providing a solid research base appropriate for the P-12 teacher who seeks a means by which to increase student achievement. In addition to the core, you must select a 13-15 credit emphasis in one of seven areas.
Choose from one of eight emphasis options, covering a wide-range of topics in education: Teacher Leadership, Literacy, Mathematics, Special Education, Biology, Teaching English as a Second Language, Kodály or Content Specialization.

MSUM’s Department of Leadership & Learning has published The Interactive Journal of Global Leadership and Learning (IJGLL), a peer-reviewed open-access journal hosted by RED, its institutional repository. The journal’s scope features educational research from the P-12 to the postsecondary level. As an open-access journal, the IJGLL editors and authors agree to provide free access and downloads of all of its contents to the general public.
