Biographical Sketch

Robert Friederichs was born in Breckenridge Minnesota. After graduating from high school, he farmed with his father, and then established a seed farm with his brother in 1962. He also became active in Wilkin County politics and government, serving on the county commission and county board of supervisors from the late 1960s into the early 1990s. In 1992, Mr. Friederichs ran for the District 9 State Senate seat on the Independent-Republican ticket, losing in the general election to Keith Langseth, the DFL candidate.

Collection Description

These papers consist of the records of Mr. Friederichs’ senate campaign in 1992 – correspondence, financial records, records of the campaign committee, campaign literature and brochures, news releases and news clippings, and a voter list for canvassing purposes. All materials are in excellent condition.
