Ecology & Evolutionary Biology Courses & Curriculum

This BS Degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology prepares you for careers in resource management, conservation biology, studies at the population and ecosystem levels, and preparation for advanced study in organismal biology.

A career in resource management entails decision making that is data-driven, relying upon remote sensing of data relating to spatial distribution of soil types, elevation, moisture, temperature, slope, presence and absence of vegetation and animals, human land-use practices, and the complex interactions among all of these variables. The Geospatial Analysis emphasis within the EEB major will earn you a certificate in geographic information science (GIS) and provide you with highly marketable skills (such as ArcView GIS ) that are necessary for many state and federal agencies that manage natural resources.

Ecology and Evolutionary Biology is also the recommended path for preparation for veterinary school.
