Welcome to the #DragonFamily: Chloe Solum

Meet Chloe Solum, the new assistant coach for the women’s volleyball team. She is here to help our Dragons give it their all this season.

Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: My mentor, Kari Thompson, is the head coach. I had previously volunteered and helped the team out for two years.

Q: What is your biggest motivator as a coach?
A: The student athletes. I want to make sure they leave here as well-rounded individuals. We push for them to do well on the court and in the classroom.

Q: What’s your favorite part of the season?
A: Getting to know the girls is always fun. Also being able to see their growth throughout the year in their skillset and their self-confidence.

Q: What is your favorite dessert?
A: Those sorbets that come in the fruit shells from Costco.

Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
A: Having been a history major, I'd really love to visit Greece. Other go-to's are Germany, Norway and Sweden.

Welcome to the #DragonFamily, Chloe!
