A Women’s and Gender Studies degree opens the door to a large selection of career possibilities in a variety of fields. While at MSUM, you will study academic fields such as politics, society and history, as well as more specific topics like intersectionality, diverse identities, social justice, media and pop culture. This varied background will prepare you exceedingly well to work in women’s organizations; the human rights, health and human services fields; or education, among others. Approximately one in five Women’s and Gender Studies students choose to continue their education in a graduate program, in areas like social work, counseling or psychology.
