Teaching English as a Second Language Scholarships

MSUM offers a variety of languages and cultures scholarships for current and incoming students. Scholarships are listed below. Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application October 1-February 1.

This scholarship is awarded to students who are enrolled in Continuing Education or Foreign Language programs and who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who are members of Delta Pi Delta.

Financial need is determined through the FAFSA. If you have not completed a FAFSA already, you can do so at studentaid.gov. 

No additional requirements are needed.

Minnesota Teacher Shortage Student Loan Repayment Program

Additionally, the Minnesota Office of Higher Education has a program to provide loan payment assistance for up to $5,000 for teachers who obtain a license and teach in an area identified as experiencing a shortage of teachers.
