Welcome to the #DragonFamily: Jenna Laurin

Meet Jenna Laurin, assistant professor in the psychology department. Jenna teaches intro to high level psychology courses and conducts research.

Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: The culture. It’s very clear that everyone who works at MSUM wants what’s best for the students.

Q: What is one thing that has surprised you about MSUM?
A: The students. They are very engaged, willing to participate, ready to ask questions and learn.

Q: What energizes you at work?
A: Seeing the students being so interested when they understand a concept. It makes me really happy when I know they’re understanding it.

Q: How do you prefer to start your day?
A: I start by teaching, and I like that. I like being in the classroom with the students right away.

Q: What is the best advice you have been given or could give someone else?
A: Go for what it is you want to do and aim high.

Q: If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be?
A: Taylor Swift. She’s just got so much going on.
