  • Pearson integration with D2L Brightspace
    What is happening? Pearson was initially setup to use integration specification LTI 1.1 (legacy version), which will not be available starting in the Summer 23 term. Why? The main driver of this is a newer integration built on LTI 1.3 (commonly called LTI Advantage). It provides a more secure integration that aligns with global standards.   • End of Semester Checklist for Instructors

  • Turnitin has released a new AI detection tool
    Turnitin has enabled “AI writing detection” in their Originality product, a tool we license currently and have integrated into D2L Brightspace. Student papers submitted to an assignment folder that has Turnitin enabled will be automatically evaluated to determine if any portions of the work are likely to have been generated by an AI text generator such as ChatGPT.
