Economics Scholarships

MSUM offers a variety of Economics scholarships for current and incoming students. Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application open October 1-February 1. Please note you must be an admitted student to apply.

1) Applicant must be an entering freshman and a declared major in Economics.
2) Applicant must be enrolled in at least six credits in Economics in the first year and 30 credits overall by the end
    of the spring 2021 semester.
3) An applicant is eligible for renewed funding by maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.25 in the Economics classes
    specifically and a cumulative GPA of 3.25.  As a second-year Economics major, the student must be enrolled in
    at least 12 credits of Economics courses and 30 credits overall.

Submit an essay of no more than 600 word addressing this year's theme:  "Evaluate the costs and benefits of the current administration's trade policy with China".

Essays will be evaluated on content, clarity, grammar and style.

This award is for newly entering first-year students and is made possible through the generosity of alumni of the MSUM Economics program.

Requirements:
1) Applicant must be an entering freshman and a declared major in Economics.
2) Applicant must be enrolled in at least six credits in Economics in the first year and 30 (thirty) credits overall by the end of the spring semester.
3) Applicant is eligible for a second year of funding by maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.25 in the Economics classes specifically and an overall GPA of 3.25 for the first year.  The second year must include at least 12 credits of Economics courses and 30 (thirty) credits overall.

Submit an essay of no more than 600 words on:  "Evaluate the cost and benefits of the current administration's trade with China."

Essays will be evaluated on content, clarity, grammar and style.

Applicants must declare Economics as their major and must demonstrate a strong academic standing.

 

Requirements:
1) Applicant must be a declared major in Economics.
2) Applicant must have completed at least six credits in Economics by the end of spring semester with a minimum GPA of 3.25 in Economics classes.
3) Applicant must have completed 54 total cedits with a minimum overall GPA of 3.25.
4) Applicant must be enrolled for 2020 Fall semester.
