Paseka School of Business Scholarships

MSUM offers a variety of Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, & Finance scholarships for current and incoming students.

Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application October 1-February 1.

The scholarship application is now open for academic year 2021-2022 (awards to be used Fall 2022, Spring 2023 and/or Summer 2023). Applicants will be notified during the Spring 2022 semester.

This scholarship is available to students involved in MSUM’s Accounting Club.

Recipient will be a full time student enrolled in courses related to Construction Management or Operations Management who are in good academic standing.

Full-time student majoring within Paseka School of Business.  Junior or above.

Upperclass students majoring in Finance, Management, Marketing or Business Administration.

This merit- and need-based scholarship is available to students majoring or minoring in business and/or economic programs.

Need based is determined by the FAFSA. If you have not completed a FAFSA already, you can do so at www.fafsa.gov. FAFSA results must be received by the scholarship application deadline date.

This scholarship is for full-time, incoming freshmen with high probability of success perhaps as indicated by a high ACT score, whose major is in the Paseka School of Business.

Recipient will be enrolled full time in the Paseka School of Business.  Recipient may or may not be an incoming freshman.

Recipients of this award will meet the following criteria:

  1. The recipient will be an enrolled student at Minnesota State University Moorhead during the disbursement of the award(s).
  2. The recipient will be an Accounting major.
  3. Preference will be given to students coming from rural Minnesota or rural North Dakota area.

Attach a short statement indicating you came to MSUM from rural Minnesota or rural North Dakota.

Junior and/or Senior who has officially declared a Business Administration (with or without emphasis), Accounting or Finance major with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater, who graduated from a Minnesota or North Dakota high school.

Attach statement indicating you have not been awarded a L.B. Hartz scholarship in the past.

Juniors or seniors majoring in business administration are eligible for this scholarship. Preference is given to students from Dilworth, then to students from Glyndon/Felton, and then to Moorhead students.

Junior/Senior who have declared a major within the Paseka School of Business and in good academic standing.

Students must have financial need which is determined by filling out the FAFSA.  If you have not completed the FAFSA, go to www.fafsa.gov. Your FAFSA must be received by the  scholarship application deadline date of February 1 in order to be considered for this scholarship.

Finance majors who are juniors or above, including Master of Science in Accounting and Finance students, with an overall MSUM GPA of at least 3.3.

This scholarship is designated for students who will be properly enrolled in Master of Business Administration. Preference will be given to a female student.

Have officially declared an Accounting major.

Preference will be given to students whose home is within the Mid-State Chapter Region (Detroit Lakes, Bemidji, Fergus Falls, Alexandria, Brainerd, Thief River Falls, Hutchinson and Litchfield).

Attach statement indicating your home is within the Mid-State Chapter Region listed above.

  1. Must be a full time student at MSU Moorhead during actual disbursement of the award(s).
  2. Awarded to a junior, senior, and/or MSAF graduate student majoring in Accounting with a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
  3. Demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA application. If you have not completed a FAFSA already, you can do so at www.fafsa.gov.  FAFSA results must be received by the scholarship application deadline date of February 1 in order to be considered for this scholarship.
  4. Preference will be given to recipients who intend to sit for the CPA exam.

Officially declared a Business Administration or Finance major who have completed prior to the Spring semester a total of at least 60 credit hours with a minimum of 12 credit hours completed at MSUM with an overall MSUM GPA must be at least 3.25.

Must enroll for at least 6 credit hours of MSUM undergraduate or graduate courses in the following academic year.
