History, Languages & Humanities Department Scholarships

MSUM Department of History, Languages and Humanities offers a variety of american multicultural studies, history, languages and cultures, spanish education and women's and gender studies scholarships for current and incoming students. Scholarships are listed below. Students can apply for university scholarships through the online scholarship application October 1-February 1.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are majoring in Education. Preference will be given to students who are minoring in History. 

No additional requirements are needed.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time students who are majoring in History or Social Studies. 

No additional requirements are needed. 

This scholarship is awarded to students who are enrolled in Continuing Education or Foreign Language programs and who demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to students who are members of Delta Pi Delta.

Financial need is determined through the FAFSA. If you have not completed a FAFSA already, you can do so at studentaid.gov. 

No additional requirements are needed.

This scholarship is awarded to a student who is a declared major in Women's and Gender Studies. 

No additional requirements are needed.

This scholarship is awarded to upperclass students who have a good academic record and are leaders in the community or on campus. 

No additional requirements are needed.

This scholarship is awarded to students who are juniors, women, and minoring in Women's Studies. 

No additional requirements are needed.

 

Minnesota Teacher Shortage Student Loan Repayment Program

Additionally, the Minnesota Office of Higher Education has a program to provide loan payment assistance for up to $5,000 for teachers who obtain a license and teach in an area identified as experiencing a shortage of teachers.
