The Minnesota State University Moorhead Computer Science & Information Systems Department provides a broad-based, rigorous curriculum to prepare students for a successful future in the exciting, fast-paced technology industry.
Excellent internship opportunities exist in the Fargo-Moorhead area at large organizations like Microsoft and startup companies like Myriad Mobile or Clifton Labs, to name a few. They’ll help you gain real-world experience before graduating and joining the workforce.
Three state-of-the-art computer facilities provide you with advanced technology tools to facilitate a real-world learning environment. A Windows-based lab with 32 computers, a Linux lab with 21 workstations, and an advanced technologies research facility lab are available to Computer Information Systems students.
Our partnership with Paseka School of Business, which is AACSB accredited, allows you to gain understanding of business, finance and accounting, giving you the insight necessary to succeed in the computer information systems field.
Four closely related majors in the department mean you can earn multiple majors by taking a small number of additional credits.
