Building systems for compassionate care

Executive director Justin Boldt directs Ecumen’s North Branch, overseeing healthcare operations such as assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing facilities. He has not only improved the quality of patient care and employee systems, but gives back to the community. Justin earned his B.S. in Healthcare Administration and Management from Minnesota State Moorhead in 2019.

Under his guidance, Ecumen North Branch was recognized in 2024 as a recipient of the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL) Bronze Commitment to Quality Award. This distinction recognizes organizations that demonstrate improvement of systems and consistent performance. In 2025, Ecumen North Branch also earned Gold Credentialing through CARD Montessori Lifestyle and Awakenings Transformation, recognizing excellence in resident-centered care, autonomy, dignity, and engagement.

“These accomplishments are not simply resume items—they represent the philosophy Justin brings to every interaction: that people thrive when they are seen, valued, and supported,” says Joe Anzel, Ecumen director of people services and operations.

Justin also serves on Minnesota State Moorhead’s community of interest board for the Health Services Administration and Master of Healthcare Administration programs. He lends his expertise to support future healthcare leaders in the area, and gives back to the program that played a formative role in his development.

Justin Boldt assumed leadership responsibilities early in his career, growing into those roles through continuous learning and experience, and a heart for serving the community around him.

Congratulations to Justin Boldt for being one of the MSUM Foundation’s 2026 10 Under 10 Awardees.
