Academic Support

You’re not alone in your college journey. We have the resources you need to be successful, from the Academic Success Center to the Career Development Center to the Writing Support Center and more. We are here to help every step of the way.

  • Academic Advising
Academic advising is one-on-one consultation with faculty members to create an educational environment that supports you in discovering your passions. Our goal is to promote your intellectual and personal development toward academic success and lifelong learning.
  • Academic Coaching
Academic counselors can work with you on personal/educational issues, study skills, time management, test anxiety, selecting classes to take, deciding on a major, getting help for academic problems, and locating additional help for other concerns.
  • Academic Success Center
The Academic Success Center fosters student success and retention by providing a centralized location of integrated academic support services. It truly is your one-stop shop for getting answers to your important academic questions.
  • Accessibility Resources
Accessibility Resources supports your learning by providing accommodations for students who have documented physical, psychological or learning disabilities under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
  • Testing
The Accuplacer is a computer-based placement tool designed to measure reading, English and math skills and provide course placement for new students. Results from the Accuplacer test help to identify your academic strengths and needs to assist in placing you in the appropriate math or English course.
  • University Writing Support Center
The Writing Support Center offers 50-minute appointments with a trained writing tutor so you may receive constructive feedback on any paper you wish to improve and to foster your writing proficiency and independence during the writing process.
