Women's Center

The Women’s Center offers a welcoming environment with couches, a table and chairs for studying or meeting, a reading chair and ottoman, and computers. Our resource section includes free safer sex supplies and menstrual products, information on campus and community resources, plus knitting/crocheting and craft supplies for your creative side. Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to spend time between classes, enjoy snacks and a cup of tea or coffee, connect with others, and browse our library and free resources. Our staff provide welcoming, non-judgmental service and referrals for the whole MSUM community.

Vision

We envision a campus community that honors the voices, perspectives and leadership of women of all identities and empowers them to learn, grow and thrive in an educational environment free from barriers, stereotypes and the threat of gender-based violence.

Mission

The Women’s Center provides an inspiring and dynamic space for students, faculty and staff to find community and learn about gender and critical social justice. We work to increase understanding of issues impacting women of diverse backgrounds through dialogue, collaboration, and purposeful action and seek to inspire a collective commitment to dismantling interlocking systems of oppression, not just sexism. We aim to empower all genders to serve as ethical leaders, allies, and agents of change on their campus and in their communities.
