Special Education Minor

The Special Education Minor at MSUM offers students an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills related to individuals with diverse needs. Any student admitted to the university can declare the minor in special education. The minor is recommended not only for Elementary Inclusive Education or Secondary/K-12 teacher education candidates, but also for students majoring in Social Work, Speech/Language Hearing Sciences, Psychology, or other human services fields. The minor is also available to North Dakota State University and Concordia College students through Tri-College registration.

Students who want to pursue the Special Education minor can declare the minor through their Registrar’s office. Students must complete a minimum of 18 credits to fulfill requirements for the minor.
