Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC)
The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) at Minnesota State Moorhead is part of the Metro College Alliance, which is a collaborative effort of the five colleges and universities in the FM-area.
MSUM’s Veteran Success Center works closely with ROTC to support all students as they explore commissioning pathways, balance academic and training commitments, and transition into leadership roles after graduation.
ROTC offers a clear pathway for students—especially those with military experience or an interest in service—to become commissioned officers while earning a degree. ROTC combines academic coursework with leadership development, physical fitness training, and hands-on experience that builds on the values of service, teamwork, and responsibility.
For veterans, service members, and military-connected students, ROTC can be a way to continue serving while preparing for leadership roles in the military after graduation.
