    This page provides an overview of the tools available to MSUM instructors, staff, and students to create your own audio and video projects.

    Ideas for using the tools featured below include:

    • Instructors can use the tools to create course introductions, lesson instructions, and so on.
    • Students can use the tools (where indicated) to create media projects as part of their coursework.

    Students

    Audio

    • Record Audio in D2L Brightspace

      Use the audio feature in D2L Brightspace to add an audio message to your student peers and instructor in Discussions, or a private comment to your instructor within Assignments. Maximum audio duration is 5 minutes.
       

    Video

    • Kaltura MediaSpace
      Use this tool to upload your audio files or create your own using CaptureSpace Lite.

        

    Instructors & Staff

    Audio

    • Leave Audio Feedback in D2L Brightspace
      Use the audio feature in D2L Brightspace to add an audio comment to your students within Announcements and Discussions, or private feedback to a student in Assignments. Maximum audio duration is 5 minutes.
       

    Video

    • Panopto

      Use Panopto to create short video messages using a webcam, or present material using PowerPoint or screen capture to share ideas or lessons. Suggested maximum duration is 15 minutes. Instructors and staff need to request a Panopto account to begin recording and sharing video content.
       
    • Kaltura MediaSpace
      Use this tool to upload your video files or create your own using CaptureSpace Lite.
