Candidates for graduate degrees must be enrolled for graduate academic credit at the time they sit for the final oral examination. In addition, some graduate programs have a Continuous Enrollment policy (Counseling and Student Affairs, Nursing, and School Psychology). In order to be eligible for the American Indian scholars program a student must be either a Minnesota resident who qualifies for resident tuition and an enrolled member or citizen of a federally recognized American Indian Tribe or Canadian First Nation; or a student who does not qualify for Minnesota resident tuition but is an enrolled member or citizen of a Minnesota Tribal Nation.
Moorhead Connect is a program for students whose GPA or ACT score make them ineligible for admission to Minnesota State Moorhead. Participating Students can begin their college coursework at Minnesota State Community and Technical College and transfer to MSUM after completing 24 college-level, transferable credit hours and earning a cumulative college GPA of 2.0 or higher.
