The BA degree in Biology gives you a broad foundation in the biological sciences without emphasis toward any of the areas of specialty represented by the more career-oriented BS degree in Biology. The BS degree in Biology prepares students for a wide variety of careers in a biological sub-discipline such as human health, medicine, evolutionary biology, conservation biology, natural resource management, public health, and environmental health.

The Women’s Christian Temperance Union is an organization of Christian women banded together for the protection of the home, the abolition of the liquor traffic, and the triumph of Christ’s Golden Rule in custom and in law. The National WCTU was organized in Cleveland, Ohio on November 18, 1874. It was the first women’s society in the world to build on the common framework of local, county, district and state affiliation under national direction.

Environmental Geology provides students with an opportunity to understand the physical systems and processes of the earth, including processes that have shaped its past and those that will shape its future, with a particular emphasis on those aspects of rock, water, air, soil, and life where humans and the earth interact. If you’re passionate about the environment and are committed to improving stewardship of this world, an Environmental Geology degree may be for you.

The Data Practices Act (Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13) presumes that all government data are public unless a state or federal law says the data are not public. The Data Practices Act also provides that Minnesota State University Moorhead (M:SU:M) must keep all government data in a way that makes it easy for members of the public to access public data. The public has the right to look at (inspect), free of charge, all public data that the University keeps.

This handout will discuss the importance of note-taking, qualities of good notes, and tips for becoming a better note-taker.

The purpose of the Professional Selling Minor is to foster a productive and collaborative learning environment to develop knowledge and skills in the management of customer relationships, equip students with the skills, ethics, and attitudes necessary to be an effective customer relationship professional in a variety of arenas, and to provide opportunities for students to exercise and develop the knowledge and skills necessary to function effectively and efficiently through their ability to apply customer relationship skills.

Courses that have not been taught during a five (5)-year span will be automatically removed from the Catalog by the Registrar. Should a course not be taught in a three (3)-year period, the responsible department and dean will receive a notice from the Registrar that the course will be removed if it’s not taught over the following two (2) – year period. Certain types of courses are not subject to this policy. Excluded from this policy are: Topics, Internship/Practicums, Independent and Individual Study, including Readings, i.e. courses open to enrollment by one or more students for a mentored or guided learning experience.
