An international freshman student is starting at a university for the first time or is transferring with fewer than 12 university credits. Usually the student enrolls directly out of high school/secondary school with no previous university experience.
The orientation programs will introduce you to Moorhead's great international community and to those programs and services that may help you with some of the special concerns you have arriving and settling in.
A transfer student means you have graduated from high school or completed the GED and subsequently attended a post-secondary institution.
Purchasing the MSUM health insurance is mandatory for all F-1 and J-1 students at MSUM.
