The Altrusa Club of Moorhead, Minnesota, was established on March 26, 1960 as part of the Altrusa International Club network. The purpose of the organization is twofold. Fairmont Foods, Incorporated, originally known as Fairmont Creamery Company, started construction of its creamery in Moorhead, Minnesota in 1923, completing and opening the plant in May 1924.
