In compliance with applicable law, MSUM generally allows service animals in its buildings, classrooms, residence halls, meetings, dining areas, recreational facilities, activities and events when the animal is accompanied by an individual with a disability who indicates the service animal is trained to provide, and does provide, a specific service to them that is directly related to their disability.

Students, faculty, staff, elders, and cultural teachers, who are members of an American Indian Tribe, are free to use tobacco, sage, sweet grass, cedar, and incense to conduct individual or group traditional practices including, but not limited to Opening/Closing prayers, Smudging, Feasts, Pipe Ceremonies, Pow Wows, and Drumming/Singing.
The University shall create, implement, and monitor appropriate plans, programs, procedures, and training consistent with applicable legal and professional standards, regulations and available resources to promote safety and security of individuals and University property.
Students who wish to take advantage of the repeated course opportunity to improve a grade must repeat the course at MSUM, with one exception only. MSUM students may register for a tri-college course to repeat a course previously taken at MSUM under current tri-college policies.
Residents of Minnesota age 62 or over before the beginning of the term may either (a) audit a class free without credit or (b) receive credit by payment of an administrative fee of $20.00 per credit, if space is available after all tuition paying students are enrolled.
