Leadership & Learning Department Accreditation

The Department of Leadership & Learning licensure programs are NCATE accredited to ensure our graduates are competent, caring and qualified educational leaders. In April 2022, all licensure programs will undergo reaccreditation by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). MSUM is also approved to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements, which provides voluntary oversight of postsecondary distance education.

Minnesota State University Moorhead meets rigorous national standards for educator preparation set by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) as a five-year teacher education institution offering the degrees of Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Education Specialist. Minnesota State University Moorhead's Education Leadership licensure programs are approved by the Minnesota Board of School Administrators (BOSA).

 

National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements

Minnesota State University Moorhead has been approved by the State of Minnesota to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. NC-SARA is a voluntary, regional approach to state oversight of postsecondary distance education.
