Issues of The Bulletin prior to 1929 also include a list of students.
Current and some past issues of The Advocate are available online. Paper copies and microfiche copies of The Advocate, and also The Western Mistic, are located in Archives.
A Model Training School was established at the Moorhead Normal School in 1893. Later known as the Campus School, classes were held until 1972 when it closed.

Clarence [Soc] Glasrud, an MSTC alum and MSU Emeritus Professor of English, wrote two publications regarding the history of MSUM. The Moorhead Normal School, published in 1987, discusses the beginning of MSUM until 1920. Moorhead State Teachers College, published in 1990, continues the history from 1921-1957. Both paper and electronic formats are available. A book published in 2013, MSUM Memories: Reflections of the College and University 1888-2013, edited by former president Roland Dille and University Archivist Terry Shoptaugh, celebrates the 125th anniversary of MSUM. In connection with this, an online timeline is available.
A collection of MSUM yearbooks (1919-1971) are located in Archives. Annual yearbooks were last published in 1971, although yearbooks were also published in 1977 and 1988. Yearbooks from various years prior to 1919 are also available, as well as the 1977 and 1988 publications. Contact us for information on obtaining extra copies of yearbooks.
