In addition to MSUM tuition, a program fee is charged to students to cover the costs of the Eurospring program.
The program fee is approximately $11,500. The cost is subject to increase in the case of substantial changes in the exchange rate or fewer than anticipated participants. It is based on a maximum of 20 students. The program fee will be finalized and posted by mid-September.
The program fee includes: round-trip airfare from Fargo (arrangements may be made to add on from other cities at additional cost); taxes; lodging and most meals at Wycliffe Hall in central Oxford (no meals are included over the spring break); international student ID card; insurance; ground transportation to and from European airports and for organized field trips; ticket to Shakespeare production (or substituted cultural event); hotels and two meals a day on tour (except where indicated on itinerary); bus, air, and train transportation; entrance fees, guided tours, and gratuities on tour. Students are responsible for their own expenses during the pre-departure, on-campus course.
The program fee will be billed upon acceptance into Eurospring. Payments are due during fall semester, although special arrangements can be made for those receiving financial aid (see Payment Schedule).
The program fee does not include MSUM tuition. Tuition and fees are extra and will be charged spring semester. Tuition payment is due during the normal fee payment schedule. Additional charges, such as add-on airfare, may be added after financial aid has been applied. Students are responsible for these payments.
Students must budget for meals and beverages not included, entrance fees not included in the itinerary, personal travel, transportation to and from the domestic airport, expenses during the preparatory workshop and spring break, and other personal expenses including passport fees, books and stationary, laundry, and other personal items. Fall orientation sessions will cover costs and how to plan for these expenses.
Minnesota State University Moorhead makes financial commitments on your behalf for the Eurospring program. Please note the following deadlines for payments and withdrawal. Refunds can only be made if monies paid out on your behalf to service providers are recoverable.
Withdrawal from the program must be made in writing to the Study Abroad Office, Minnesota State University Moorhead, 1104 7th Ave South, Bridges 249, Moorhead, MN, 56563. The letter must be postmarked on or before the deadline date, or hand-delivered to Bridges 249 by 4:00 PM of the deadline date.
Payment should be made directly to the Business Office either by check, credit card, or financial aid. If you are receiving financial aid, payment deadlines may be adjusted to take into account spring disbursement dates. This will be done on a student-by-student basis, depending on the student's financial aid award amount (if any).
The program fee will be charged to your account upon acceptance into the program. Tuition will be added to the program fee once students have been registered for spring semester.
Please make note of the following deadlines as no reminders are sent out. Periodic billing notices from the Business Office may appear on your accounts. The Study Abroad Office will assist students in registering for Eurospring classes. Tuition payments should be made following the normal MSUM payment schedule. If a student utilizes an installment payment plan for spring semester, the final payment must be posted before departure, by Friday, March 11, 2016.
Withdrawal from the program must be made in writing by Friday, October 30 (see details in the Program Fee Payment Schedule). Students who withdraw on or before this date will receive a refund of their payments, minus any airfare penalties or ticket costs already incurred. (Once purchased, a non-refundable plane ticket must be paid for by the student even if he or she withdraws for any reason. It is recommended that students purchase trip interruption/cancellation insurance.) The application fee is non-refundable.
Any student who withdraws from the program on or after Saturday, October 31 will incur a penalty from one-half to the entire program fee, to cover any non-recoverable costs. The fee will be assessed regardless of whether any payment has been received.
Tuition to MSUM must be paid according to the spring tuition payment schedule in place at the university.
