One way for you to study abroad for a semester or a school year is to go on an exchange program. Exchanges are formal relationships between MSUM and another educational institution.
Some are bilateral, meaning the same number of students come and go between the two institutions. In this case, available spots may be limited. Others are open, so any number of MSUM students can participate.
Keele University, nestled in the English midlands (between Liverpool and Birmingham), offers a wide range of majors to study for one semester or a year. A one-for-one exchange means you pay MSUM tuition. The Keele exchange is limited to three students per year, depending on exchange balance. Located in Yokohama, immediately south of Tokyo, Kanto Gakuin offers programs in intensive Japanese language and culture. Ideal for East Asian Studies majors, you will pay MSUM tuition for this program.
