The Eurospring program is currently on hiatus. Check back for updates later during fall semester 2019.
Eurospring recruiting occurs each fall semester for the following spring’s program. See “Events & News” for dates and times of interest sessions. The application deadline is November 7.
Visit the Office of Study Abroad for application forms and details.
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a 2.50 GPA and above in any major may participate in the program (including freshmen who have earned at least 24 credits total by the end of fall semester). Only current college students are accepted into the program. Non-MSUM students may participate under the same guidelines affecting MSUM students, but credit applicability depends on the home school’s regulations. Students must transfer to MSUM for the duration of the program, and must participate in all components.
Completed applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A $195 non-refundable application fee must accompany the application and all appropriate signatures are required at the time of application. This payment secures your reservation and airline ticket.
Withdrawal from the program must be made in writing by Friday, November 9. Students who withdraw on or before this date will receive a refund of any payment made (not including the application fee), minus any airfare penalties or ticket costs already incurred. (Once purchased, a non-refundable plane ticket must be paid for by the student even if he or she withdraws for any reason. It is recommended that students purchase trip interruption/cancellation insurance.) The application fee is non-refundable.
Any student who withdraws from the program on or after Friday, November 9 will incur a penalty from one-half to the entire program fee, to cover any non-recoverable costs. The fee will be assessed regardless of whether any payment has been received.
Eurospring features extensive orientation to help you make the most of your experience. Sessions begin in late fall, after the application deadline, and include a meeting with former Eurospring students in late November, and an academic planning session in December. Dates are determined once participant schedules are known.
Students are required to attend spring orientation at MSUM in February (dates TBD). The daily sessions run from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with Thursday's session going into the evening until 8:00 PM. The detailed schedule will be provided to students in January. An additional orientation date will be set in late February or early March, to align with the schedules of the participants (one full-day session). For the balance of the first eight weeks of spring semester, coursework will be handled online and in one-on-one meetings with faculty.
Students are required to complete all assigned pre-departure coursework, attend orientation sessions, actively participate in all classroom and experiential learning sessions while abroad, design their own study plan, and turn in required work following return to the US.
