Michelle Olson is a notable business leader and entrepreneur with more than 30 years of experience in public relations and integrated marketing. She is currently managing partner at Lambert, a full-service communications firm with offices in Michigan, Texas, New York and Arizona. And she is chair of PRSA, the national trade organization.
On Thursday, October 28th, MSUM alumni, friends, families, faculty and staff come together for a 24-hour, online giving event known as MSUM Giving Day. Donors not only have the opportunity to support their choice of scholarships, programs, and special projects, but they also have the opportunity to magnify the impact of their gifts thanks to nearly $200,000 in matching gifts and challenges.
Meet Kristen Carlson, MSUM’s new assistant professor of curriculum and instruction for the department of leadership and learning. She’ll teach in the masters of curriculum instruction program and the educational leadership doctoral program.
Speech Language Hearing Sciences staff, students and alumni recently celebrated the naming of the Fargo-Moorhead Sertoma Club Audio Suite. FM Sertoma has generously supported the MSUM Speech Language Hearing Sciences Department and the student group National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (Collegiate Sertoma) since 1995.

As a member of the Champions Committee for Moorhead High School, I’ve had an insider’s view of the careful planning that’s gone into the curriculum for the Academy—the goal of which is providing a personalized and relevant education for our high school students.
About ten years ago, the board of the MSUM Paseka School of Business decided to introduce a mentorship program. Rick Kasper ,who was on the board at the time, has been influencing the program and its participants ever since as a mentor, helping students set goals and make complex decisions.
