Meet Vanessa Bakke-Fabre, a new OAS Intermediate for the biosciences department. She helps the department run smoothly through scheduling, budgeting and many other administrative tasks.
Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: One part was the opportunity. I was an office manager for a dentist, and this brought a big change. The atmosphere was another part. Everyone is friendly and welcoming here.
Q: What are you most excited about in your new position?
A: Learning all the rules and navigating how to do things. I’m excited because this is completely new for me.
Q: How do you prefer to start your workday?
A: Get my three kids out the doors for school, pack my lunch, and head to work.
Q: What is a piece of advice you live by?
A: Give it 110%.
Q: What is your favorite animal?
A: Either a pug or a cat.

Spring 2023 brings large influx of new international students to MSUM
This spring, MSUM welcomed 37 international students to campus. It's the largest international spring enrollment class in the last four years and MSUM could not be happier to welcome them to campus.
