Meet Ryan Barnes, a new assistant track and field coach. He is here to help our Dragon student-athletes reach their full potential. He also works as the ROTC recruiting representative on campus in Lommen Hall.
Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: I attended MSUM from 2008 to 2013 and was on the track team. Later, Coach Milner asked me if I was interested in being an assistant and I was excited to come back.
Q: What are you most excited about in your new position?
A: Just being in that environment again. Seeing our athletes push themselves and learning about the exercise science of everything is exciting.
Q: How do you stay productive?
A: I jump in where I’m needed.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
A: Spiderman senses. Crawling on ceilings seems fun.
Q: What is your favorite dessert?
A: Pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
