Meet Prince Paige, one of MSUM’s new area directors for housing and residential life. He welcomes new students living on campus and creates a fun and inclusive community for all.
Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: I've never been to Minnesota, but I've always heard great things. I flew out for a tour after they reached out to me and got to know the campus and the staff. I thought it would be a great area to grow in and I’m excited to learn something new every day.
Q: What energizes you at work?
A: The students. It’s similar to my past work and just seeing the students grow throughout the year makes me feel like I'm helping them in the tough transition of being a kid to being an adult.
Q: What is something you are learning right now?
A: Adapting to life after getting my master's degree. I’ve been in school my whole life, so now I’m trying to apply what I learned in my work and activities. I also am focusing on my interests more.
Q: If you could choose one superpower, what would it be?
A: Flying. You get places faster, it's cool and you look good doing it. It also gives you a sense of freedom to do what you want.
Q: What is your favorite beverage?
A: Strawberry lemonade from Applebee's.
