Welcome to the #DragonFamily: Mackenzie Hron

Meet Mackenzie Hron, MSUM’s new student relations coordinator for the College of Science, Health and the Environment. She moved over from our Admissions team and is ready to help students achieve their goals.

Q: What drew you to MSUM in the first place? 
A: I came here for my online graduate program and worked as a graduate assistant in the Academic Success Center. I fell in love with the community and the atmosphere here and knew I wanted to stay.

Q: What are you most excited about in your new position? 
A: I’m excited to work with current students and give them the resources they need to be successful.

Q: What is the biggest change you noticed moving roles? 
A: In Admissions, I had to know a little bit of information about many different aspects of campus. In my role now, I have to know a lot about the programs in the CSHE.

Q: If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?  
A: England. I would love to walk through Buckingham Palace.

Q: What is your favorite summer activity? 
A: Hiking. Getting outside when I can in the summer is the best.
