Meet Jannette Wenshau, MSUM’s new office manager for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Center for Global Engagement. She is working hard to provide support to students and make sure campus is a welcoming place for students that come from diverse backgrounds.
Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: I have worked for an organization that hosts international high school students so when I saw that there was a job opportunity working with international students, I felt I would be a good fit. I also thought I would be a resource since I have also hosted international students in my home before.
Q: What is your favorite part about MSUM so far?
A: People are very friendly and willing to help. It’s a beautiful campus that has a lot of great resources for students.
Q: What’s your go-to productivity trick?
A: I pay close attention to detail and if I get stuck on something I ask questions.
Q: What energizes you outside of work?
A: I really like to go shopping. I enjoy looking at thrift stores and garage sales a lot.
Q: What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
A: You would probably find my heading to the lake. I have a home on a lake near here, so I like to spend time outdoors there enjoying the sunshine and relaxing.
Welcome to the #DragonFamily, Jannette!
