Welcome to the #DragonFamily: Jacalyn Migler
Meet Jacalyn Migler, a new instructor of elementary inclusive education in the School of Teaching and Learning. She teaches a course that prepares education majors to perform their student teaching before graduation.
Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: I’m retired and moved back here over the summer. I got a call from Erin Gillett to ask If I’d like to teach the class and I accepted the offer.
Q: How do you start your workday?
A: I have a half hour drive to get to campus. While I’m driving, I practice the lesson I'm teaching for the day to myself. I also like having a Diet Coke when I get to my office to prepare myself.
Q: What is something you are learning right now?
A: This is my 46th year teaching and I tell my students that I learn something new from them every day.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: Ireland, Germany, Norway, Greenland and Iceland.
Q: What is something you are loving right now?
A: I’m currently obsessed with baking. I make goods to feed my students and husband.
Welcome to the #DragonFamily, Jackie!
