Welcome to the #DragonFamily: Cade Niehaus
Meet MSUM’s graduate assistant basketball coach, Cade Niehaus. He is ready to help the men’s basketball team sharpen their skills!
Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: I have wanted to coach basketball for a long time. MSUM is a great school, so this is a great opportunity.
Q: What is your favorite part about MSUM so far?
A: Everyone I work with in the Athletics office has been very nice and helpful. Anytime I have a question, someone is there to answer it. The team also is a really great group of guys.
Q: What’s one thing you’re learning now, and why is it important?
A: I am learning that there is a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff that goes into coaching and running a basketball program, so I am doing my best to learn and help with whatever I can.
Q: What energizes you outside of work?
A: I’m a big sports fan – basketball especially. I would say my second favorite sport is golf. I also like football, of course. Our team is off to a good start!
Q: If you could trade places with anyone for a day who would you choose?
A: I’d spend a day as a professional golfer so I can have the opportunity to play in a professional golf tournament.
Welcome to the #DragonFamily, Cade!
