Meet Kazimir Gazdzik, MSUM’s new Assistant Professor of Social Studies Education, History, Languages, Critical Race and Women’s Studies.
Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: Size of the institution. It’s a nice, personal feeling on campus. It seems like a home. I had a good sense of place.
Q: What unique experience or skills from your last job do you bring to MSUM?
A: I taught at a tech high school in Saint Cloud. I have 26 years of experience teaching many different topics within social studies, which I bring to my methods courses and to my classroom.
Q: What energizes you at work?
A: Working with the students to support them in their path through MSUM and to help them make connections to the subjects we’re talking about.
Q: What is your favorite binge-worthy show to watch?
A: Peaky Blinders and Ted Lasso
Q: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
A: Back to Bogota with my family. We went to adopt my oldest child there and going back with her, and the family to go with to see the country again, would be wonderful.
Welcome to the #DragonFamily, Kazimir!
