Meet Emily Lauinger, one of MSUM’s newest digital marketing specialists. Emily supports digital marketing efforts for undergraduate and graduate enrollment, the MSUM Foundation, the College of Arts & Humanities and the College of Education & Human Services, in addition to university-wide projects.
Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: MSUM is my alma mater and promoting higher education has always been of interest to me.
Q: How do you prefer to start your work day?
A: I love to plan out my daily schedule.
Q: What is your favorite social media platform?
A: LinkedIn is my favorite platform to post on, but Tik Tok is my favorite to watch.
Q: What energizes you at work?
A: When you see a project come together. Once the nitty-gritty details are sorted through, and you watch everything just click, it’s a great feeling.
Q: Favorite place to eat in the Fargo/Moorhead area?
A: Oh, Hooligans! Their supreme pizza and giant dessert cookie are my favorite.
Q: What book are you currently reading?
A: I am reading two books at the moment. The first is the second book in the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. There are fifteen books in the collection so I will be reading it for a while. I am also reading a nonfiction book titled The Three Mothers: How the Mothers of Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and James Baldwin Shaped a Nation.
Q: If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: I haven’t been outside the United States before but I have always wanted to visit Germany! My family ancestry is German and I hosted a foreign exchange student so I would love to see her again.
Welcome to the Dragon Family, Emily!
