Meet MSUM’s new Instructional Technologist, Cliff Smith. He is ready to create training opportunities for online MSUM students and to answer questions related to using technology in the classroom.

Q: What drew you to MSUM?
A: I’ve heard wonderful things about the culture here. There’s something refreshing about the atmosphere at a university.
Q: What is one thing that surprised you about MSUM?
A: The people are more inviting than one would expect for a university of this size. It was very nice to be so warmly welcomed by so many.
Q: What unique experience or skills from your last job do you bring to MSUM?
A: I have a broad experience in education from Pre-K all the way through post-secondary environments. That educational background combined with my love of technology makes this position an excellent fit for me.
Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in Fargo-Moorhead? Why?
A: India Palace and Passage to India are probably my favorites. I love Indian food and can’t seem to get enough. Both of them have excellent, friendly service and delicious dishes.
Q: What book are you currently reading?
A: Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You by Ibram X. Kendi and Jason Reynolds.
