  • Internship Process 2016


    1. Read the Guidelines for the Accounting & Business Internship Program.

    2. Apply for and successfully be selected for an internship. Strategies:
      • Watch for emails from the PSB on internship opportunities
      • Work with the campus Career Development Center
      • Contact employers of interest to you/watch their website
       
    3. Schedule an appointment with:

    4. Complete the Internship Agreement form with your internship employer/supervisor.

    5. Print your Academic Record and resume to be turned in with the Agreement.

    6. Obtain a copy of the position description for your internship employer/supervisor to be turned in with the Agreement:
      1. Internship Agreement
      2. Academic Record/Transcript
      3. Resume
      4. Position Description
       
    7. Submit the completed Internship Application and Agreement paperwork as listed above to the Experiential Learning Coordinator.

    8. Once an override has been processed, register for Academic Credit

     

    Upon beginning your internship:

    1. Keep a log or journal of hours worked and activities performed

    2. Participate in a midterm evaluation and a final evaluation of your work

    3. Submit a final paper according to the schedule agreed upon with the Internship Coordinator
