  • About the Northwest MN Historical Center

The Northwest Minnesota Historical Center, established in 1972, is affiliated with the Minnesota Historical Society. Its mission is to preserve information on the history and culture of the Red River Valley, including records on settlement, agriculture, government, business, folklore, and ethnic heritage of the region. The staff of the Center will assist all patrons in finding information from the collections and records. Although most records preserved are open to the public, some records have restricted access.
