Terrie Manno, DMA

  • Terrie - Links&NotesTerrie Manno is an active performing artist with a repertoire that spans several centuries. A native of Santa Barbara, California, she took her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Piano Performance (summa cum laude) from California State University, Fresno. In 1989 she received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson, in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy.

    Dr. Manno has undertaken several international solo recital tours in the past 15 years featuring new American piano music and recitals that explore correspondences between music and the arts. She is active as a collaborative pianist and she performs with the Manno – Dean Piano Duo (Michael Dean, DMA) and Lines&Notes, a poetry and music collaboration with poet and spoken – word artist Kevin Zepper, MFA.

    In addition to teaching and performing, Dr. Manno continues her studies in the Alexander Technique, prenatal sensory development, and the neurological processes of teaching, learning and performing music. She is currently Professor of Music/Piano and Coordinator of Keyboard Studies at Minnesota State University, Moorhead.
