Film Learning Community

  • You should live in this community if you are a declared Film Studies, Film Production or Animation major.

    You will take the foundational level film courses, introducing mise-en-scene, cinematography, sound and editing. Under the guidance of award-winning faculty, these skills are developed through challenging hands-on projects, critical analysis and creative problem solving.

    This community is historically located in Dahl Hall.

    Spring

    All Students

    • FILM 280: History of Film (3 Credits)
    • FILM 280S: Studio in History of Film (1 Credit)
    • FILM 100: Technical Training: Video Production (1 Credit)
    • FILM 172: Video Production (3 credits) 
      • Only take 100 or 172 if they were not taken in the fall semester.
