“My Dragon Mentor made things more comfortable and it was easy to meet people.” Alayna McLaughlin; 2012-2013 Education LC participant
Each Learning Community has a Dragon Mentor who will assist first-year LC students. Dragon Mentors possess strong knowledge of campus resources and co-curricular opportunities. Mentors live in the Learning Communities and work to build individual relationships with their residents. Mentors are a valuable resource because they provide support for academic success which include interaction with faculty and staff, and implementation of academic programs. Dragon Mentors also provide social opportunities specifically designed for residents living in a specific learning community.
