  • Guidelines for IT Equipment Purchases

    University Equipment

    MSUM computer equipment and related devices are acquired through the Information Technology department. Requests for equipment should be emailed to support@mnstate.edu for evaluation. The IT department will review the request, contact the requestor, analyze current equipment, and provide recommendations for replacement. IT will work with your specifications to ensure the equipment will meet your needs and be compatible with existing IT systems.

    Professional Development Funds

    Faculty who are interested in using 19B Professional Development Funds to purchase technology must contact the Information Technology Department via support@mnstate.edu to coordinate the purchase and licensing agreements. Assets purchased will be tagged with the State of MN asset tag and included in inventory. Faculty who separate from the university must return any technology assets purchased with 19B funds to the IT Help Desk prior to leaving the organization.
