Snarr Complex is made up of three co-ed residence halls, centrally located on campus near the campus dining center and Wellness Center. West Snarr completed its renovation in 2014; the first floor of West Snarr offers an open lounge with fireplace, multi-purpose room for studying and events, a kitchen, and a hall desk with mail services for the entire Snarr complex. West and South Snarr offer updated student rooms, with new versatile furniture. Each floor in West and South Snarr offer renovated lounges, laundry rooms, and bathrooms with private toilet and shower rooms that are shared by the floor. South Snarr will reopen its doors August 2017, featuring a newly renovated first floor lounge, complete with multi-purpose room, pool table area and TV-hangout space. East Snarr will undergo a complete renovation in 2017 and be open for residents August 2018.

There is one mailbox for each room. Mailboxes are located on the first floor of each building at the hall desk. Packages that do not fit in a mailbox are held at the hall desk until residents can pick them up.

Digital Cable and DSL Internet Service is provided by MidCo Communications. Wireless internet is available in the common area floor and building lounges in each hall. Each room has a DSL router box or ethernet port wall jack. You will need to provide your own ethernet cord or wireless router. Rooms are equipped with digital cable (older TV styles will not work).
If you have trouble connecting or would like to add DVR services (for a fee), MidCo answers the phone 24/7! Call 1-800-571-5463 from your room. You can also try online chat at www.midco.com/contact/live-chat for customer support. Please note: the call reps may not understand you are in a dorm room, not an off-campus apartment building; please stress you live in a university residence hall.

Reminder: only the common areas have wi-fi access; to provide residents with the fastest and most reliable internet, MidCo internet is accessible through ethernet connection. Residents are free to purchase their own wireless router if they prefer wi-fi connection within their room.
A limited number of MicroFridge (combination refrigerator, freezer, and microwave) will be available for rental on a first come first serve basis. They are $75 per semester. Reserve a microfridge online. If you reserve prior to the official Move-In Day, your MicroFridge will be in your room when you move in.
We strongly encourage our students to pursue renters insurance. You may arrange for renter's insurance through your own insurance company. MSUM does not insure personal belongings in student rooms. While we hope students will never need to file a renter's insurance claim, it is important to be prepared just in case.
Residents can submit a work request for their room via their housing portal. Log in and click the Maintenance tab. This is also where residents may view comments from Maintenance staff regarding the work. To submit work orders for public spaces in your hall, such as the bathroom, contact your RA or Hall Desk.
